I think starbuck posted on this a few months back. Maybe not the same thing but close.
I learned something the other day that stunned me.
As most of the older folks know, i went through a divorce a couple of yrs ago.
What shocked me the last couple of days to find out.
My ex which made her second marriage, she gets Medicaid for her children. Now she works and has insurance on them. Her first ex has insurance on them, plus the first ex pays child support, and she gets Medicaid?
I pay through the nose on taxes like others and this woman is yet to pay her first penny to WC in anything. Yet WC is paying her tab.
Im not as upset because she is my ex and doing it.
But after talking to a few people i find it's very common. My one question is how?
I have people in my family who i help who can barely survive and the county tells them they are not eligible. Yet this is acceptable?
Honestly folks i have to wonder about our system at times. We pay through the nose so others can use and abuse it.
I have been told stories of women living in free housing, going to college and living with men, who make as much as 2x or 3x, more than i do, and most get Medicaid and food stamps and their bills paid for?
Yet i was told by one person, it's perfectly legal as long as they prepare their meals separate?
Gee Whiz when do the rest of us ever get a break like this? I'd love to live like that for one month and not end up going to jail over it.
And based on what i was told, we have a lot doing it in WC and nothing is said or done about it.
All i can say is it must be nice. I know if it was me they would jack up the jail and bury me under it.
Oh well guess im just venting i guess, i just paid a property tax at Wise off, to find out this, but it sure has to make you wonder.
Has to make you question the system and if anyone is even monitoring it.
Oh well as i said i guess just venting. But i could of done alot with that money i give the county for taxes.
But i see it is being put to good use.
